Sub Section 02: Practising Good Habits at Home – Yawns, Coughs, Burps and the Like

Published on

Did you yawn or burp and did you feel bad about it? There is no need to feel bad as these are natural and no one can stop it from happening. You might sneeze while walking on the street, you could cough while at the dining table or you may yawn while watching TV.

You only need to make sure that you cover your nose or mouth while you do and say ‘Sorry’ or ‘Excuse Me’ as soon as you do. Be careful to avoid spraying anyone or coughing or sneezing too close to someone.

Turn the other way, cover your nose and mouth with your hand, hanky or elbow and move aside if needed. Also, remember, no matter how old you are, this is something you need to continue to practice, so start doing these at home.

There may be other natural reactions that trouble you, write to us at fullofetiquette@gmail.com to learn how you can handle those situations without being embarrassed.
